Bokhara

Afghan carpets are known worldwide for their Bokhara, or elephant’s foot, motif. This historical and traditional pattern was typically woven by nomads utilizing a bright madder red color.

Indigo - With this pattern and color scheme, we desire to represent the traditional patterns of Afghanistan by pairing it with rich indigos, madder reds and sharp yellows. These colors flow harmoniously throughout the carpet and make for a fresh, new look. Made with fine quality, long staple Ghazni wool, this rug is hand-knotted using the Turkish Knot technique (see more about our process) resulting in a beautiful abrash pattern that gives our rugs an added visual texture. Each rug yields a luxurious hand, comfortable to walk and sit on.
